The Grand Finale

Many thanks to Grammy Nicole for housing three crazy boys and one crazy mom for almost three weeks. The boys actually did pretty well on this vacation and only started to get a little home sick in the last day or so. Here are pictures from various hikes at Sundance and American Fork canyon as well as our trip to the AF pool.

It was so great to meet up with Trina at Kwanis Park. Wellesley friends are the best!
 Cameron is the best dad.

Grammy and Lachlan became great buddies on this trip. Whenever he saw Grammy, Lachlan would give his widest toothless grin and start bouncing up and down.

Mac is all about the tongue in photos these days.

Farm to Dinosaur

The boys had a great time at the petting zoo. It was no Hatch Farm but it was the next best thing.

The dinosaur museum had a great science area that the boys loved. Here they are moving around magnets.
 Creating a smoke circle.
 Making their own dinosaur.

Return to the Motherland

The kids and I drove down to Utah on Thursday and Friday with my mom. She was kind enough to get us a hotel room in Montana for the night so the drive didn't feel quite so long and the boys had a blast playing in the hotel pool. Our first big UT adventure was a trip to the Kennecott Copper Mine, the larges open pit copper mine in the world and just a stones throw from my moms house. I am truly a mother of boys as I now plan our outings based on where we can see the largest dump trucks and heavy machinery. We had a great time and enjoyed a nice lunch at Smashburger with Uncle Ev, Grammy and Grandpa.

words of wisdom

I found Mac chewing on a dried noodle while I was cooking dinner and asked him if he had eaten one. His response was:
Yes, my teeth chewed it up and then gravity helped pull it down down down to my stomach.

I'm glad to see that his many hours of watching school house rock on youtube have resulted in some useful knowledge.

What do you think of the farm?

video

Spring has arrived!

Easter egg decorating with the Hawkins.
After a stop at Trader Joe's the Easter Bunny visited our house.

The Easter bunny was kind enough to bring Mac and Ham some new sunglasses.

Our day after Easter traditional egg hunt at Cameron and Jill's new house. The boys got to search for eggs with a backhoe.

While the boys were at the farm Lachlan got mom all to himself for a change.

We took a family trip to see the Spokane Chief's hockey team play at the arena.

And finally the boys had the time of their lives at the farm now that the weather is nice and they can run wild outside.
 Feeding chickens with Papa Jeff.

Mac loves to declare that he is tired an lay down wherever he happens to be at the time.

The boys have been fighting like cats and dogs lately but I glanced outside to see Mac pushing Ham on the swing and it gave me hope that they'll be good buddies after all.
